Highly detailed frame-on restoration completed in 2006, with stunning silver blue paint color scheme with silver coves. This is a beautiful and desirable color combination. Black interior includes new carpet, dash pad, kick panels, door panels, package tray, cove trim and stayfast canvas convertible top. This is not a matching numbers car, but built to be a beautiful driver and casual show car to drive and enjoy. Detailed engine compartment with completely rebuilt 327 cu in engine and correct 1959 Rochester fuel injection. Freshly rebuilt Borg Warner 4-speed with Hurst shifter and correct-appearing shift lever with fake reverse lockout. Correct FI distributor and air cleaner.
All gauges correct and working, including a high redline (290 hp) distributor driven tachometer, working clock and fully restored Wonderbar radio. All stainless trim has been polished, all weatherstripping is new and all chrome has been perfectly triple-plated. All wiring is new. Also new sill plates, taillamp lenses, trunk mat, tires, door glass, glass weatherstrip, glass runs, steering gearbox and aluminum radiator. I built this car to my detailed specification and pleasure, but have aquired another '59 that I would like to restore, and I don't have room for both. This car drives and handles solidly, with no rattles or squeaks and the body is straight. This is not an NCRS trailer queen, but a car that you can drive and enjoy, and priced twenty-five thousand dollars less than the same car would be with matching numbers, accordingly.
